Ball milling is a primary method of grinding coarse materials to a fine powder. Typically employed in the ceramics, metallurgical, paint and glass industries, ball milling uses abrasive grinding media (such as ceramic balls, flint pebbles or stainless steel balls) to reduce particle size.
During the milling and grinding of coarse materials, protective linings are required to ensure the longevity and safety of the ball mill during operation. The mill lining can be made from a variety of materials such as natural stone, high density ceramics or even stainless steel.
